As we continue our NBA Preview series, we take a look at 30 burning questions for all 30 NBA teams
Charlotte Hornets
Burning Question: Will the Hornets pick up where the Bobcats left off last season?
The Charlotte Bobcats, now Hornets, had one heck of a season last year. Charlotte won 43 games and made the playoffs last season, the first time they had done that since 2009-10. The Hornets added Lance Stephenson in the offseason and lost Josh McRoberts. That’s where they stand. But if they plan on continuing the momentum that the Bobcats left, they’re going to need to be better than their sixth ranking in defensive rating and much better than their 24th offensive rating. Stephenson will probably help in both categories. There’s a good chance that the Hornets will be better than the Bobcats were last season, but there’s no guarantee that their record will be any better. Thanks to a slightly stronger, and more diverse, Eastern Conference.
