What matters most in the NBA, the players or the coach?
Well, mainly the players but a great coach is usually the icing on the cake. Even though not many coaches are worthy of saying that their coaching is a difference maker in the NBA, there are a few exceptions.
A chosen few can say they’ve created a structured system filled with teamwork, creative schemes that affect both ends of the court, built relationships with every player on the roster and carries the motivational motives that bring the best out of every player.
Under that criteria, here are five NBA coaches that possess those traits as they (unofficially) throw their name in the hat for the 2014-15 NBA Coach of the Year award.
