Even though we’ve officially entered the Phil Jackson era in New York, there’s still reason to believe this team could be just as bad as last season.

Yes, re-signing Carmelo Anthony to a lengthy deal and hiring Derek Fisher as head coach were both excellent moves. But without Tyson Chandler in the starting lineup, the Knick’s overall defense will surely take a nosedive.

The only way this team has a chance at the NBA playoffs will be whether or not their offense is top notch. However, with inefficient scorers like J.R. Smith and Amar’e Stoudemire all throughout the roster, it may be too tough of a task to overcome.
