Remember all of the predictions for the Toronto Raptors heading into last season?
At best, they were considered to be a borderline playoff contender, pegged anywhere from 7th-10th in most projections, due to their supposed lack of talent and inexperience.
Little did we know that a Rudy Gay trade would completely rejuvenate the team, finishing the season with a 48-34 record and the 3rd best record in the Eastern Conference.
Now in year 2 of the post-Rudy Gay era, the Raptors are poised to have a similar season, as they’ve resigned many of their marquee guys and acquired a potential sixth man in Lou Williams.
