Bench, What Bench?

According to Hoopsstats.com, the Cavaliers are the worst team in the NBA in bench points. Cleveland averages 21.7 bench points per game. When LeBron James decided to relocate to Cleveland, one of the bigger arguments pro the move was based on the fact that he was going to have more “help” in a Cavaliers uniform than he would’ve had in a Heat uniform.

Twelve games into the season, and that narrative is down the toilet.

Sure, the Cavaliers bench may have bigger and more attractive names, but they aren’t supplying any help off the bench. At least not the type of production you thought they would produce.

It’s still early, but the Cavs are getting practically nothing from their bench. Even though the 2010 Miami Heat ranked toward the bottom in bench points as well, that was pretty much expected.

There’s no excuse for the 2014 Cleveland Cavaliers.
