The third-year point guard has provided the Trail Blazers with a leader and a scorer to alleviate pressure off of LaMarcus Aldridge.
Together with Aldridge, he is the hope Portland has been looking for since Brandon Roy went down with multiple injuries. At this point, a competitor like Lillard signifies more than just a better basketball team, he represents a greater hope.
