It just can’t get much worse for the Charlotte Hornets.
After coming off an impressive 43 win season in which the franchise clinched its first playoff berth in 4 years, things have taken a turn for the worse, as they now hold a 4-14 record and are currently riding a 9 game losing streak.
This is clearly not the type of start we expected from this team, given the fact that they acquired a borderline star in Lance Stephenson, as well as a few other talented players during the offseason.
But that’s just the way the cookie crumbles, and unfortunately for the Hornets, this could wind up being the 4th season in 5 years in which they have failed to maintain a record above .500, if of course, they continue to play at this kind of dismal level.
So what gives? Why are the Hornets doing this bad so early on? Could it be a personnel issue or is it simply that their new players haven’t gelled yet?
