2010 NBA Draft: Round 1, Pick 4

Leading up to the 2010 NBA Draft, Wesley Johnson was considered one of the more NBA ready prospects in his field, drawing comparisons to stars like Josh Smith and Shawn Marion.

Little did the Timberwolves know that the former Syracuse product would turn out to be far from a safe selection, failing to average over 10 points a game as a starter, before eventually being shipped to Phoenix and later Los Angeles.

Entering year 5 of his career, Johnson is still producing similar stats to his rookie season and can’t quite find a niche in the league, despite the overwhelming amount of opportunities he’s received.

Consider him more of a player treading on water at the moment, but don’t be surprised if he has trouble receiving offers once the free agency period rolls around.
