2011 NBA Draft: Round 1, Pick 10

Jimmer Fever looks like it could be coming to a close way earlier than expected.

After unsuccessful stints with both the Kings and Bulls, the former BYU star signed with the New Orleans Pelicans over the summer, hoping to revitalize his once promising career.

Unfortunately, Fredette hasn’t had many opportunities to prove what he’s worth, missing 7 games and averaging a meager 9.4 minutes per contest, even though starting shooting guard Eric Gordon has been out for a while now due to injury.

Unless we see a random uptick in Fredette’s minutes, it’s tough to picture him being a major contributor for this team moving forward, since Austin Rivers and others still get the lions share of time at the guard rotation.

It’s a shame because Fredette never really got an opportunity to showcase his true abilities, and may have no other option but to part ways with the league after an incredibly short tenure.
