Milwaukee Bucks rookie Jabari Parker will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL, according to multiple reports.
The first-round draft pick sustained the injury last night against the Suns, buckling his knee on a drive to the basket before colliding with veteran P.J. Tucker.
The injury was first ruled as a knee sprain by the Bucks’ medical staff, but was later found to be far worse than what was originally expected, ending the season of yet another promising rookie from the 2014 NBA Draft class.
Parker was averaging 12.3 points 5.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals on 49 percent shooting, and was also considered a front-runner for the Rookie of the Year award.
