The Minnesota Timberwolves have placed veteran swingman Corey Brewer back on the trading block for the second time this season, according to Marc Stein and Brian Windhorst of ESPN.
This news comes as no surprise, since Minnesota is currently one of the worst teams in the NBA, and could use as many future assets and draft picks as possible to help expedite their rebuilding process.
Originally, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets were considered the main teams interested in acquiring his services, but recently the Los Angeles Clippers have joined the mix as well.
It’s no secret the Clippers desperately need an upgrade on the wing, as their rotation of Matt Barnes, Reggie Bullock and Chris Douglas-Roberts have failed to produce well in the early going.
At this point it’s unclear if Los Angeles has enough assets and worthy draft picks combined to get a deal done, but there’s always the possibility they could sway Minnesota to part ways with the veteran.
