Stats: 20.5 points. 7.7 assists, 4.7 rebounds
Making the case: The little man up in Toronto has lead the DeRozan-less Raptors to a 24-7, first place in the East. He’s not only proving he’s the best player in Toronto, but the best point guard in the East this season.
Not only by averaging 20 points and nearly 8 assists per game, but by getting W’s. He has proven to be an elite player in this league and a force to be reckoned with by hitting clutch shot after clutch shot. He plays with a chip on his shoulder every game, which is why he’s No. 2 on my early season NBA MVP list.
Next: James Harden
