NBA: Top 10 Early Season MVP Candidates

2 of 11

10. Anthony Davis

Stats:  24.3 points, 10.2 rebounds

Making the case: Anthony Davis is a once in a lifetime player. With him only being 21, the sky is the limit. He is not ball-dominant, and he doesn’t force shots, which is scary because he averages nearly 25 points per game. What stands out is that his scoring doesn’t make him a superstar; it’s his heart.

Anthony Davis plays every possession like it’s his last. He doesn’t pout. He doesn’t argue. Which is why he gets the Kevin Garnett comparisons. And rightfully so. The only reason why he’s not my early season MVP is because the Pelicans are 15-15.
