Kobe Bryant isn’t the only Laker dealing with injuries.

During Monday’s practice at the Toyota Sports Center, sixth man Nick Young apparently sprained his right ankle, leaving him as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Washington Wizards, according to Mark Medina of Los Angeles Daily News.

Team doctors diagnosed Young with a moderate ankle sprain, which should only take a few days to recover from. However, management may opt to take a slow approach, since they’ve recently shifted focus to developing their young players.

Last night, Young only played 8 minutes in the Lakers’ loss to the Houston Rockets, missing both of his shots and turning the ball over 3 times, before being benched for the entire second half.

Following the game, Head Coach Byron Scott explained that he felt Young appeared like “He didn’t want to be here.” and decided it was best to keep him off the court.
