For a moment this season, it was almost as if the Golden State Warriors were going to surpass the 70-win mark with ease. Although, after a 1-2 week, the Warriors have returned back to the rest of the pack in the NBA.
Still, at 37-8 they have the second-best record in the NBA, easily, but they’re also not head and shoulders above the rest of the league. They’re tied with the Atlanta Hawks in the loss column and have almost looked human lately, which couldn’t be said just a few weeks ago.
After losses to the Chicago Bulls and the Utah Jazz during their last seven days, the Golden State Warriors have officially returned back to normalcy in the NBA.
With games against the Dallas Mavericks and the Atlanta Hawks later this week, they may remain there for the foreseeable future. If any team in the NBA is looking to gain ground back on the Warriors, now be the perfect time to do just that.
And just that has been reflected on this week’s NBA power rankings.
