(10-38). Previous: 28th. philadelphia 76ers. 29. team. 93.
The Philadelphia 76ers are kind of like just there. They’re still the original King of tank, yet still semi-competitive on a nightly basis. One night, they’ll lose to the Hawks by single-digits, then the next they could lose to the Nets by 20. They kind of regress to the mean when they overachieve, which is what the ideal tank team should look like.

Let’s not get it twisted, though. The Sixers know what they’re about. We know what they’re about. The entire NBA knows what they are about. They’re still about stacking that talent through the NBA draft. This season was never about something other than that – especially considering that Joel Embiid (their reward for last year’s tank) is out for the regular season — let’s not sugarcoat it.

Even though they may look competitive in some situations, Philly is still only two games from first place, or last place, in their eyes.

And that means a whole lot more than beating the Atlanta Hawks on some random Saturday night in January.
