Los Angeles Clippers
Record: 33-17
First Half Highlight: numerous “players-only” meetings
Analysis: The Clippers have been operating under the radar for much of the season. They haven’t been bad, nor have they been THAT good where they warrant over-coverage in the Western Conference.
They’re one of those teams that’s good enough to make the playoffs in the Western Conference, but also not good enough to actually scare any of the top-tier teams in the conference either.
Doc Rivers has done a fairly good job over the course of this season keeping his team in one piece, despite rumors of issues in that locker room. Nevertheless, it still feels like the Clippers are one, possibly two, players away from being true contenders in a very challenging conference.
