First Half Highlight: Boris Diaw hitting Gregg Popovich on this head
Analysis: After participating in back-to-back NBA Finals, the San Antonio Spurs have actually managed themselves nicely this season.
With the age of this team, and the injuries that they’ve had to overcome, the Spurs sitting in the seventh seed (tied in the loss column with the Dallas Mavericks) isn’t the worst thing in the world. After all, in the Western Conference, all you have to do is find a way to avoid the Golden State Warriors in the first round.
The Spurs are currently doing that perfectly. In fact, if the season ended today, they wouldn’t have to face the Warriors until the conference finals.
That would be a great thing for this team. So far, so good. But don’t ask Gregg Popovich. I’m sure he’d say the opposite.
