Before the Knicks became the glorified d-league team that they are today, Carmelo Anthony was back with the Knicks on a max contract and ready to at least try to get to the NBA playoffs.
They hired a new coach in Derek Fisher, a new president of basketball operations in the legendary Phil Jackson, and here we are. Melo is hurt, played in the NBA all-star game (looked fine) and now he’s out for the year and the Knicks tank is at full speed ahead.
The Knicks are so bad there might be a chance the University of Kentucky might beat them in a game, but enough trashing the Knicks as they have had it hard enough. Melo got the most money out of any free agent this year, yet is sitting out hoping for Jahlil Okafor to fall onto their laps.
