When the NBA season started, the Kings were coached by Mike Malone and everything seemed well for Boogie.
This seemed to be the year he was finally going to take that proverbial next step. Then, after a mini skid, the Kings inexplicably fired Malone, gave the interim tag to another coach, fired him, and now hired George Karl, where there have been reports that Karl would be willing to look at trading Cousins, possibly to the Nuggets for Ty Lawson.
Where did it go wrong for Boogie? When the Kings fired Malone?
After that, Cousins went back into his old ways of letting his emotions get the better of him, slacking off on defense, and not working hard to become the best big in the game. Hopefully, though, Karl will recognize what he has could be, and is their franchise big.
Don’t trade Boogie.
