Shooting Guards
1. James Harden
2014-15 Stats: 29.6 points, 7.1 assists, 5.8 rebounds
James Harden is not only the best shooting guard in the NBA, but he’s also been the best player this season. As a clear NBA MVP candidate, he has single-handedly carried Houston the entire season, without Dwight Howard.
Going into every game, he’s the only point of emphasis of every opposing coaches’ strategy. Houston isn’t only winning, they might actually have homecourt advantage in the playoffs. All due to the bearded one.
2. Klay Thompson
2014-15 Stats: 21.9 points, 44% 3PT FG
One half of the Splash Brothers, Klay has been lighting it up all season long. He’s become more valuable since he became more than a shooter. And let’s not forget about the 37 points this man gave to Sacramento in a single quarter.
Like many players in the NBA, this man can score in bunches. Big difference is he does it efficiently.
3. Jimmy Butler
2014-15 Stats: 20.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 35% 3PT FG
This season was a special one for Jimmy. He became an NBA all-star, he’s the league’s most improved player, and he solidified Chicago’s chances of being a serious contender to come out of the East.
I’ve never seen a player improve over a summer as much as Butler has. It’s one thing when an all-star is projected to improve, but it’s another thing when a role player makes that leap out of nowhere.
