I’m biased being based out of Canada and living a hour away from where Wiggins was born and raised, but the Canadian is earning his spot as the number one draft pick last summer by leading all rookies in scoring (16.9) by a large margin (Langston Galloway is second with 11.6 points per game). He also leads rookies in free throws attempted (5.6 per game) and minutes per game (36.1); that combo has surely taken a toll on his body and explains why Wiggins is currently only shooting 43 percent from the field and 32 percent from beyond the arc.
Something else that is impressive worth noting is the fact Wiggins has the fifth best scoring averaging of an NBA player during a season where they are 18 or 19.
