2015 NBA Draft: Bobby Portis Declares for the Draft

Arkansas sophomore Bobby Portis has announced he will enter the 2015 NBA Draft.

Portis, a 6-foot-11 power forward, averaged a team-high 17.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. He won the SEC Player of the Year award, after leading the Razorbacks to a 27-9 record and their first ever tournament appearance in 7 years.

According to several NBA Draft sites, Portis is projected to go somewhere in the early to mid first round. He’s got the prototypical size of an NBA big man, and the offensive skill set to be a potential force at the next level.

With Arkansas losing the SEC Player of the Year, there’s no question the team will take a significant hit in the standings next season.

The 2014-2015 campaign was the best season Arkansas had in nearly 20 years, ranking 2nd in the SEC and advancing to the 3rd round of the NCAA Tournament.
