Mike D’Antoni

Last Job: Head Coach, Los Angeles Lakers (2013-14)

Who wouldn’t want to see Anthony Davis in Mike D’Antoni‘s free-flowing offensive system. If you don’t, change that. Now.

Sure, D’Antoni hasn’t had the most success in his last two stops as a head coach in the NBA (Knicks, Lakers) but he has before when his teams have been littered with talent. That’s exactly what this Pelicans team has. They just haven’t been able to put it all together yet, mostly due to injury.

Nevertheless, D’Antoni does have a knack for making even mediocre point guards look really, really good. Imagine what he could do with a Jrue Holiday or Tyreke Evans with Anthony Davis? The possibility is enough for any Pelicans fan to get excited.

If D’Antoni gets hired along with a defensive assistant coach, the Pelicans could be much better next season. Don’t sleep on the Mike D.
