Confession: I was tempted to put Butler number one on this list. Crazy, I know, but he’s elite defender, he scores from beyond the arc, he’s a heck of an athlete and he was an all-star this season. The kid isn’t even 25 years old yet and looks poised for a long and successful career in the NBA.
Look for the Toronto Raptors to make a huge run for him this summer to help shore up the issues on the defensive end, while becoming a building block alongside Jonas Valanciunas. Toronto may try to part with DeMar DeRozan in a sign-and-trade package.
