I struggled placing Tristan Thompson this low. He’s a player who embraced a sixth man role and only averaged 26.8 minutes per game. He still managed to lead the entire league in offensive rebounds and he shot an impressive 54 percent from the field.
Thompson has seen a bump in his minutes in the playoffs (31.6) and has shot 61 percent from the field.
Last summer Thompson was laughed at when he was asking for $15 million per season. Now? Some team(s) will bite on that. It will be interesting to see if the Cavs are willing to match that kind of offer.
