Sustainable Energy

A huge reason why the Houston Rockets built that 16-point lead in the first half of Game 1 was because of said energy. They simply looked more lively than the Warriors — in the most dominant way — through the first 18 minutes of Game 1.

Despite that, they still lost.

If they’re going to have any shot in Game 2 in the hostile Oracle Arena, they’re going to need more of that energetic effort early, throughout and often. They don’t necessarily need to build a 16-poing lead again, but they do need to out work the Warriors for the betterpart of the night.

The Rockets are the less talented and inferior team. In order for them to even the stakes a bit, they’re going to have to do it with energy.
