There will be a trade in the top-5
The top three picks are a lock. Unless the Los Angeles Lakers can persuade the Sacramento Kings to part ways with DeMarcus Cousins. But assuming that the Lakers will stay put at No. 2, I still believe that we’ll see a trade in the top-5 — and it’ll probably come on the part of the New York Knicks or the Orlando Magic.
At this point, I’m more leaning towards the Magic trading out of the top-5, simply because all we’ve heard so far is how the Knicks are going to trade down. I don’t think the NBA Draft is that predictable. It never is.
I’m not sure who’d be trading up, or for whom, but I believe we’ll see some movement at No. 5. Maybe sooner.
