16. Boston Celtics
Pick: Terry Rozier, PG, Louisville
Grade: C-
Probably a bit too early here especially with Sam Dekker still on the board, but Boston got a very good combo guard that can defend well. He won’t be someone to build around, but a good complimentary piece to whatever the Celtics are planning.
17. Milwaukee Bucks
Pick: Rashad Vaughn,: SG, UNLV
Grade: B
The Bucks get a steal here as they continue to build their very young team. The Bucks needed a legit scorer to compliment Jabari Parker and that’s what Vaughn is. He is all offense and can create shots and will learn a ton under Jason Kidd. Only concern is defense but otherwise solid pick from the Bucks.
18. Houston Rockets
Pick: Sam Dekker, SF, Wisconsin
Grade: C+
They needed a scorer, they got a scorer. A Very solid pickup from the Rockets as they drafted a guy who had a great NCAA Tournament and can score the basketball. The Rockets are a shooting team and picking Dekker, a guy who can score at anytime at a high pace inside and out, will be very good for the Rockets.
19. New York Knicks
Pick: Jerian Grant, PG, Notre Dame
Grade: C+
Drafted by the Wizards but will be traded to the Knicks, Grant provides a good scoring ability even though his strength is his ability to move the ball. He doesn’t turn the ball over much and can be smart with the ball. He’ll score when you need and facilitate when need be off the bench.
20. Toronto Raptors
Pick: Delon Wright, PG, Utah
Grade: C
A big defending-guard heads to Toronto as the Raptors grab a valuable player. He might not be a great scorer but Wright can get in the paint and facilitate. But with his size, his best attribute is his defense. He’ll be a good bench player that will log good minutes as a defender.
