26. San Antonio Spurs
Pick: Nikola Milutinov, C, Serbia
Grade: C-
Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but the Spurs drafted a European player! He might not even play this year for the Spurs, but this guy is huge. He’ll be playing in San Antonio in two years, so we’ll check back soon.
27. Los Angeles Lakers
Pick: Larry Nance Jr, PF, Wyoming
Grade: C
A guy that has survived a ton in his days, on and off the court, the Lakers draft a big man who can shoot and stretch the floor. He’s a solid pick, but the Lakers aren’t really focused on the draft as much as free agency coming up.
28. Boston Celtics
Pick: RJ Hunter, SG, Georgia State
Grade: B
This guy can shoot. He can honestly shoot the ball from half court and there’s probably a 50 percent chance it goes in. Boston drafted an already elite shooter who’ll be asked to put the ball in the net ASAP.
29. Brooklyn Nets
Pick: Chris McCullough, PF, Syracuse
Grade: C+
Solid pickup for the Nets as they get an athletic big who can finish inside and defend. However, he has injury concerns having had ACL surgery recently. But if healthy, the Nets got a solid player at this juncture in the NBA Draft.
30. Golden State Warriors
Pick: Kevon Looney, PF, UCLA
Grade: B
A potential replacement for Draymond Green should he leave in free agency, the Warriors draft a big who can rebound and score. He is going to play with a chip on his shoulder after falling this far in the NBA Draft. Solid pickup for the champs as he’s going to be needed if the Warriors want to repeat with or without Green.
