Despite an unpredictable first selection from the New York Knicks, here are three things Knicks fans can be excited about when it comes to Jerian Grant

The 2015 NBA draft held a lot of surprises for New York Knick fans. First, Phil Jackson stood by what he said on Wednesday.

More from Sir Charles In Charge

"[via LA Times] “There could be surprises all the way from 6-foot to 7-foot that would be major surprises,” he said. “We’re trying to take what we feel is the best potential pick, what will help this ball club out the most and go from there.”"

Jackson hinted towards a surprise and he didn’t disappoint. The Knicks shocked everyone and selected the Latvian 19-year-old big man, Kristaps Porzingis at No. 4. As expected, Knicks fans weren’t happy at all (myself included).

We could go on and on about the reason’s why New York Knicks shouldn’t have taken Porzingis, but the Knicks did make one more move in the draft. They traded a struggling Tim Hardaway Jr. away and got Jerian Grant via the Wizards pick, a 6’4″ point guard from Notre Dame.

Because the Knicks weren’t expected to pick in the mid first-round, not a lot of fans know about Grant. For once, I’ll focus on the positives. Here’s a list of three things that New York Knicks fans will love about Grant.
