The 2015 NBA draft was filled with tons of excitement. No, there weren’t any blockbuster deals altering the entire landscape of the NBA. No popular player had a huge fall on draft night, as we’ve seen in the past. Still, there were some surprises.
Projecting the draft winners just mere hours after the draft is a crap shoot. Nobody knows how each player will develop and, as we’ve seen from the 2014 draft, injuries do play a big part. Playing the guessing game is still fun, though.
There are many things that need to go right for a player to reach their full potential. Good team fit, great coaching, decent playing time and a nice team environment are just a few things that could turn a decent prospect into an elite one. When the 60 players were selected on Thursday night, I’m sure most of the GMs thought about those four things I mentioned.
In each draft they’re winners and, unfortunately, losers. Here are the four Winners from the 2015 NBA draft.
