NBA: Five Teams That Must Be Big Players In Free Agency

If the Los Angeles Lakers can somehow come away with a big free agent signing this summer, their outlook may not be as bad as many of the other teams on this list heading into next season. They could actually be one move away from persuading Kobe Bryant to steal another three-year contract away from the Lakers.

It’s not a surprise that the Lakers will/should be very active this summer in free agency. The fact that they reside in Los Angeles is attractive enough. Add in that they have three very talented young players in D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson and Julius Randle in the equation, and it makes them look that much more enticing.

They also have Kobe on the roster, if that floats your boat.

But in all seriousness, this Lakers team could become very interesting if they do in fact land a player like Aldridge, Gasol or Jordan this summer.

Heck, even if they managed a way to get DeMarcus Cousins from the Kings in a trade.
