Tristan Thompson, Cleveland Cavaliers
Rumored Deal: 5-year, $80-plus million (potentially max)
Why Thompson?
I know money is wonderful, but a player with his talent should be starting for a team and not riding the pine. It’s no secret that Kevin Love will be the starter come opening day and you might be the first off the bench, but you had the chance to put up all-star numbers with either the Knicks, Lakers or any other team that was in dire need of a starting power forward.
Thompson might’ve gotten paid, but he’s right back where he started last offseason — on the bench.
