Old team: Los Angeles Clippers

New team:  Dallas Mavericks

In search of a bigger role and to get out of Blake Griffin’s shadow, DeAndre Jordan signed a large 4-year, $80 million dollar contract with the Dallas Mavericks to become the Big Man of the future for Dallas.

Financially speaking, this is a great move for Jordan. This deal gives him financial security over a four-year span, at the very least. From a basketball standpoint, however, he is going to be able to patrol the paint inside with Dirk Nowitzki roaming around the midrange-3pt area.

He moves to an already playoff ready team coached by one of the better coaches in the NBA, and should make a big leap this year having found a team that will use him more.
