8. Andrew Wiggins, Minnesota Timberwolves
2014-15 Stats: 16.9 points, 4.6 rebounds
Confession: I begged the writer ranking the top small forwards to include Andrew Wiggins on this list. Then, after crunching the numbers taking a deeper look at some video, it was tough to rank Wiggins any higher than this.
Wiggins is an elite talent that has the potential to be a star, but right now it’s just potential. He’s a strong defender, but he still has lots of room to improve on the offensive side of the ball. Most of his field goal attempts (441) came at the rim, where he made 60 percent of those attempts.
However, when forced to shoot 5-9 feet away from the rim, he only made 32 percent of those attempts. His midrange game was scary, as he shot just 31 percent on attempts from 15-19 feet from the rim.
