The NBA has always been blessed with great power forwards, for as long as I have been interested in the sport. My favorite will always be Charles Barkley — who, at his size, was able to accomplish feats that have left people still amazed.
Larry Bird was a legend, Karl Malone and Shawn Kemp were also great — and there’s many more. Today’s forwards are not built in the same mold as they were decades ago, though. Now it’s all about who is the next best stretch-4. What ever happened to post play, boxing out and defense?
My top-10 power forward list is based on how I grew up watching the game — rebounding, a little defense and scoring. I love guys that play in the post, not afraid to get physical. With that being said he is my top-10 power forwards heading into the 2015-16 NBA season.
