19. Fred Hoiberg, Chicago Bulls

Yep, I ranked another rookie ahead of veteran coaches, so get over it. This ranking could be a little biased due to my love of the Timberwolves team with Kevin Garnett, Sam Cassell, Latrell Sprewell, Michael Olowokandi and of course Hoiberg. But Hoiberg has built a respectable résumé while working at Iowa State, and like Billy Donovan and the Thunder, the Bulls do not need too much work to get back to being a contender.

Even if Derek Rose is never the same player that he once was, the Bulls depth makes up for Rose’s lack of functional knees. Hoiberg is a good fit for teams that can shoot the ball well, and the Bulls shot 37.3 percent from three last season. Hoiberg will work well with Pau Gasol and his mid-range game and with his coaching the Bulls could win the NBA Eastern Conference.
