23. Scott Skiles, Orlando Magic
I was originally going to put in a picture of Scott Skiles, but then I thought that you might appreciate this picture of Andrew Nicholson struggling to get through Jonas Jerebko’s pesky defense. Skiles seemed like a lateral move from Jacque Vaughn, and a slight improvement over James Borrego.
Skiles has a streaky coaching history in terms of wins, and only has five winning seasons in the 13 seasons that he has coached. But Skiles could be a good fit for Orland and he could help Elfrid Payton augment his passing ability. But, then again, he could also be a complete bust and Orlando could find themselves in the lottery, again. The latter is more likely.
At least Skiles has “the only player in this draft that could win both the three-point contest at NBA All-Star Weekend and the dunk contest” in Mario Hezonja (because ESPN hasn’t mentioned it enough).
