Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton and Detlef Schrempf

Seattle Supersonics, 1993-1996

The real “Lob City” consisted of Payton and Kemp in the mid-90’s. Payton was a defensive beast, great offensive player and the biggest trash talker in the NBA.

Kemp was simply “A Man Child.” In addition, he also had a perimeter game (check), low post game (check), was a great rebounder (check) and defender (check). Kemp was ahead of his time and when he finally realized how great he could be, the NBA embraced him as a superstar.

Schrempf was a bona-fide stretch 4, before that title ever became famous.
