Bill Russell, Bob Cousy and Tom Heinsohn/Bill Sharman
Boston Celtics, 1956-1967
The truth of the matter is they had to go on this list because of their history together, but during that time there were only eight teams in the league. It’s not their fault, and I’m pretty sure they would have done the same if it was 30 teams, but history is history and this group made some serious noise.
Any group that wins six rings in their time together deserves to be on the list. Russell is the ring king with averages of 17/23, but he had running mates in Cousy 18/7, Sharman (22/5) and Heinsohn (18/10) on the team, too.
