Question: Could Joe Johnson still be moved this season?

His name has been dragged through trade rumors for the better part of the last year, though nothing has materialized. However, now could be the best time for the Nets to part ways with Johnson, mostly because his absurd $24.8 million contract number is an expiring contract.

Although, after cutting ties with Deron Williams this summer, there’s little incentive for the Nets to part ways with Johnson, too, other than cutting their payroll.
