Question: Are the Spurs as good as they are on paper?
Wow, what an offseason this team had. They clearly won free agency and brought back their entire core sans Tiago Splitter. But will their on court performance live up to their roster on paper?
While Kawhi Leonard and free agent acquisition LaMarcus Aldridge are in their primes, the rest of their core players are not. Tim Duncan, while still effective, could reasonably slow down this season and both Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili have constantly battled injuries over the last few seasons.
Their past performance does not suggest that the Spurs have anything to worry about, but age is a looming factor. Should the Big 3 regress, are Leonard and Aldridge ready to step up in their place?
