NBA Power Rankings: Each Team’s Starting 5 On Paper
Before getting to the actual rankings, let me explain how I rated each player/team.
I gave each starting player in the NBA a specific rating between 1-6. One, being a player that isn’t that good versus, six, being an NBA superstar.
Here is the specific system I went by:
1 – only starting because of injury
2 – starting, but shouldn’t be a starter

3 – promising rookie/solid NBA starter
4 – NBA all-star caliber player
5 – All-NBA caliber player
6 – hands down NBA superstar
Once that was complete, I added up the five players rating scores and the sum became each team’s “starting five rating,” which will be shown once the ranking begins.
Though, there were several teams with the same score, that’s when I took into account experience, past accomplishments and upside.
With that understood, let’s get to the rankings.
