Backcourt: Kyle Lowry & DeMar DeRozan
Kyle Lowry stepped up and became an all-star last season while DeRozan took a back seat. This combo is another that has the potential to be great in 2015, but there are still a few issues each player has to work out.
Lowry, even with his all-star appearance, is not much of a facilitator, as he averaged seven assists last season. He has to do a better job setting up teammates and hitting the open shot.
DeMar DeRozan is the 2- guard version of pre-2015 Blake Griffin. All flash, but no substance. He has improved his perimeter game, but his strength is still slashing and the fast break. When, or if, he can master the halfcourt aspect of his game, there will no longer be all-star snubs for him.
