Let’s just put aside the Markieff Morris situation. It’s kind of ridiculous how his twin brother being trading led to such ridiculous drama. Sad thing is, that isn’t the only issue in Phoenix.

After the completely failed multiple point guard experiment, Phoenix is left in a weird position. Their starting five is still talented. Tyson Chandler, Markieff Morris (drama free version), PJ Tucker, Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe, which is a formidable group

The issue is the bench. Alex Len has potential to be a strong player off the bench, but he has yet to prove himself completely. T.J. Warren is a great young talent who can just flat-out score. Those two will be great guys to come off the pine.

The backcourt is a little lackluster. Ronnie Price is a journeyman who is a solid defender, but not a top-tier bench player. Archie Goodwin is 21 years old and raw. He has not done anything statistically to make you believe he will be a major contributor.

Devin Booker should factor into the backcourt rotation. He has great potential and figures to play a significant role in the future plans of the Suns. It would be in their best interest to find him some time sooner rather than later.

Mirza Teletovic is an interesting acquisition. He is an undersized below average defender, but he has shown a capability to score. He is inefficient, but still puts points on the board. He had a PER last year of 10.7 and shot only 32 percent from 3-point land.

The depth and excitement that once surrounded the Suns has calmed down quite a bit. Mostly considered a team to miss the playoffs, it’s hard to see that prediction not coming to fruition. Their bench, which used to be strength, is now somewhat of a question mark.
