Mark Few

Record: 438–103

Since taking over the Gonzaga program in ’99, Few’s turned the previously nameless Gonzaga program into as consistent of a team as there is in college basketball. He’s never managed to secure a particularly notable recruit, most of his significant players have come internationally.

It’s hard to look past how consistently Few’s been able to do so much with so little, but watching him relentless try to attack Justise Winslow with Kyle Wiltjer in this year’s elite eight as though it were an obvious mismatch makes me question his in-game strategic adequacy.

I’ll pass on him as a professional coach and credit most of his collegiate success to exploiting the international recruiting market.
