Milwaukee Bucks – Keep On Keepin’ On
The Milwaukee Bucks were the surprise contenders of the last season. They built their team via the Thunder model and made themselves into a legitimate playoff threat. They got bounced in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs by the next team we’ll discuss, the Chicago Bulls, but they made a strong statement by simply getting there and turning a 3-6 matchup into one of the better series in the early rounds of the playoffs.
The Bucks have everything they need to begin to attract a solid fan base:
– A relevant player with a catchy nickname: (The Greek Freak)
– An underdog aura, hailing from one of the smallest NBA markets: (Milwaukee)
– A promising group of young, exciting players: (Jabari Parker, Giannis, MCW, Middleton)
– A willingness to consistently improve the team: (Paid to keep Middleton, brought in Monroe)
– A head coach willing to do go the distance to win: (Jason Kidd spilled water on the court)
This might be the most excited I’ve ever been about the Milwaukee Bucks. It’ll be great to see a team finally get the whole rebuilding thing to pan out, in an era when we’ve seen teams like the Sixers and Bobcats (now the Hornets) do it every year with no real success.
