Team Goal for 2015-2016 Season:

This one is quite simple, actually: Set the Stage for the summer of 2016. That’s what this season will truly be about for the boys in Brooklyn. They’ll take their lumps today so that tomorrow (and ideally the days after that) will be a lot brighter.

2015-2016 Team MVP:

Brook Lopez

I’m inclined to say that Joe Johnson will once again be the most valuable player on the Brooklyn Nets roster, however I’m convinced that he won’t end the season with the team. Therefore, this season Nets MVP will be none other than Brook Lopez. After Johnson he’s the best player that Brooklyn as to offer. He’ll likely average close to 20 points per game, and despite him inevitably missing a solid portion of the season with some type of lower body injury, when he does manage to make it on to the court he’ll be strong offensively.

My sleepers for the team MVP this season are Bojan Bogdanovic and Thomas Robinson. Bogdanovic had a solid rookie campaign a season ago and rumor has it he was able to sure up his touch from long range in the offseason. Robinson has had a tumultuous start to his NBA career, dawning more jerseys over the course of the past three seasons than Drake (it’s funny because he has a tendency to jump from bandwagon to bandwagon in the NBA). Under the tutelage of head coach Lionel Hollins however, Robinson will have a change to find a home in this league.

Season Defining Question:

How big will the Nets dare to dream by season’s end?

The Nets have the cap space to pull in a crop of major stars, but who those stars are will hinge on how aggressively the team will be willing to pursue top tier talents (a la Kevin Durant).
