As the 2015-16 NBA season continues to draw near, we look at the five rookies that will make the biggest impact for their teams this season

As the new season nears, rookies around the league are bubbling with anticipation as they grow closer to their NBA debuts. The fans of their teams and admirers of the game anxiously await those first few minutes too, as we begin to weed out the busts from the game changers.

Unfortunately for some rookies, this season won’t exactly be the coming out party that they dreamed of as kids, or even as late as draft night in June. Either because of health issues or their team’s current roster build, they simply won’t see the minutes or touches that would allow them to shine in the spotlight.

On the flip side, however, there are teams in this league who will be calling on their newest additions to be immediate contributors. Some teams drafted by need, and now look to shore up some holes with players they acquired this summer. Other teams might just have no direction at all and this year their rookies will receive ample opportunities because quite frankly they’re the best hope the franchise has going forward.

These are the players we’ll look to focus on in this piece: the rookies who will be making the greatest impact for their teams this season. This is by no means a representation of how good these rookies are (or will be) per say, simply which of them will play the biggest roles and produce the biggest numbers this season.

So without further ado let’s get started.
